To the editor:
In response to Dick and Sue Vitale’s Aug. 8 letter, I do have facts about Donald Trump.
From what I read in their letter, I got thinking that they benefit from Trump’s tax cuts for the rich since they stated that they have traveled the world.
After the Charlottesville, Va., event where a young lady was run over and killed, Trump said on TV that there were good people on both sides, which disturbed me. When he said he is a nationalist, that also disturbed me, as did his attacks on the four women of color in Congress who he said should go back to where they came from, the attacks on major cities like Baltimore, calling it “infested” and how he says people from Mexico are invading our country and are murderers, rapists, criminals, etc. — I have seen no proof of that. They are leaving their country because they are in fear of being killed, to come to our country for a better life for them and their children.
The Mueller report did not exonerate Trump. I stand by what I said in my Aug. 6 letter — all of his tweets and comments he has said about people of color are flat out racist. Two weekends ago, there were two mass shootings, one in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio. The shooter in the El Paso shooting idolized Trump and what he has said in the past.
On Facebook there are over 200 ads for his re-election that contain a lot of hatred and racist comments. There are some facts for you.
