To the editor:
Interesting to see so many opinions on the Kennett football team members’ duck-abuse case from people who know little of the actual facts, the process or the individuals who were involved in the heinous activity, nor of the process of setting the punishments, rehabilitative education components and community service requirements.
I am not excusing the behaviors. I do know it is not my place to judge, and I trust that the football coach, the athletic director, the principal and the superintendent spent much time and consideration on the punishments, corrective measures and teaching opportunities that arose from this grievous mistake by juveniles. Not that it matters, but I am not particularly a fan of football.
