To the editor:

People living under the stress and fear of losing everything if they get sick or hurt cannot contribute good, positive energy to life in the United States of America.

You get a better country to live in if you provide health care to everyone. People who cannot afford the education they desire cannot contribute at the level of skill and enthusiasm that they would like to make the economy thrive in the United States of America.

You get a better country to live in if you provide tuition-free public college to everyone. People who work full time and still cannot provide for their family are under tremendous stress. The fact that millions of people are living in fear is pulling down the United States of America.

You get a better country to live in if you provide a $15 minimum wage to everyone. If fires are burning all around, crops are failing from drought, shorelines are advancing and all the scientists (who are not connected with the oil industry) are predicting a very bleak future, then it does not feel very secure living in the United States of America.

You get a better country to live in if you make the energy and transportation systems of the world renewable and sustainable. The richest people cannot buy a better country to live in. You must work to create it and to keep it.

A good country is good people helping other people to be good people. We have one shot at fixing this.

Bernie was robbed in 2016. He is the best hope for our country in 2020. Help the people and the country will get better. There's no reason that a country with such great resources and money can't provide healthcare and a better living wage to its people. There's always money for war, there can be money for the people. Unfortunately, the healthcare industry has lined politicians pockets for decades making this something that is bound to never happen here.

I am 100% for capitalism, but not at the expense of people.
