• As winter draws to a close, residents are celebrating and cursing the above-average snowfall for the year — more than 83 inches since October in North Conway; and more than 200 at points in the White Mountains. Plows and shovelers were running out of places to put the snow, but skiers rejoiced as virtually every ski trail was open at local areas.
