CONWAY — Salyards Center for the Arts will present a benefit concert on Friday at 7 p.m. to unveil and introduce its newly acquired Hubbard harpsichord.

Donated by the mother of Roy Trombley, brought to the area from Detroit by Ken Turley, refurbished and completed by Hendrik Broekman of Hubbell Harpsichord in Framingham Mass., this full-size instrument is fully playable and is both authentic and beautiful in sound and appearance. This rare and beautiful instrument whose origins are from the Baroque era of the 1600 and 1700s will now have a permanent home at the Salyards Center for the Arts, hosted by the Conway Historical Society, where it will be available for display and performance.
