2019 Volunteers of the Year

BARLETT — Eleven local nominees were honored for their volunteerism at the 10th annual Mount Washington Valley Non-Profits Volunteers of the Year Awards on Sunday, Nov. 3, at the Grand Summit Hotel at Attitash in Bartlett.

The event was hosted by MacKenzie Herlihy and Christopher Bellis.

Letters of congratulations arrived from New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu, Maine Sen. Angus King and New Hampshire Sen. Jeanne Shaheen. 2019 Miss Mount Washington Valley Teen Megan Marin presented the awards.

The list of volunteers honored at the event is as follows: John Colbath, Judy Dashiell, The Dueling Divas (Eddie Bennett and Mark Sickler), Sam Hanson, Nan Ippolito, Gail Paine, Diane Reo and Vic Rollins, Mary J. Trumbull, Sylvia and Paul Weld and Hayleigh Young.

This year’s event was sponsored by the Grand Summit Hotel at Attitash, The Conway Daily Sun, Deni DuFault Financial Services, Valley Vision Channel 1301, The UPS Store and photographer Lisa DuFault.

The organizers encourage each and every non-profit organization to begin to think about who they would like to nominate for the 11th annual Volunteers of the Year Award. Nominations for this award must reach the committee for consideration by next September for the ceremony, which is being planned for November 2020.
