For many, spring travel as well as “staycation” plans are well underway. Why not use the Conway Public Library as a vacation resource? A wide variety of travel books are available for borrowing.

"Lonely Planet," "Rick Steves," "Eyewitness" and "Fodor’s" are just some of the publications that provide inside looks, tips, tricks, and suggestions for experiencing wonderful adventures across the map. If you plan to stay local and want to fully enjoy the coming of spring, let hiking and climbing guides, museum passes, and New Hampshire history guide books inspire you for new adventures. There is full computer access available for all patrons who wish to conduct searches online, check flight schedules, or print travel itineraries.

All are invited to the Conway Library to welcome spring with the Bluebirds. This fun and friendly valley singing and instrumental group invites a gathering of singers of all types, ages and abilities. The group’s warm community spirit, and audience interaction creates a comfortable and uplifting evening of song, humor, music and joy.

What a wonderful way to celebrate the changing of seasons, and the renewal of energy that we will all feel as the days get warmer and the snow slowly melts from the earth. Come to the Ham Room on Tuesday, April 2, at 6:30 p.m.

Karen McCarthy has some fascinating life stories to share. Her journey from 23 years as a Catholic nun in Massachusetts, to lay person in Western Maine, has included many blessings and adventures. She will share them through pictures and the retelling of memorable experiences, that are unlike what most of us have ever known. Karen will begin her talk in the Ham Room on Wednesday, April 3, at 5:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

Don’t miss out on a wonderful opportunity to win amazing baskets of valuable products and services, while supporting the library. The Friends of the Conway Public Library have put together theses raffle items with the help of a wide variety of local businesses, with tickets selling for $1 each, three tickets for $2 and seven tickets for $5. Winning tickets will be drawn during the spring book sale on Thursday, April 25.
