BRIDGTON, Maine — First Congregational Church in Bridgton, Maine, will be offering Holy Week services.

• Maundy Thursday on April 18 at 7 p.m. A reflective and contemplative Tenebrae Service of music, readings and Holy Communion.

• Good Friday on April 19 at noon. A service of scripture, prayer, and music offered by Jan and Glen Jukkola on violin and piano.

• Easter Sunrise on April 21 at 5:30 a.m. People will be gathering at Knights Hill Beach in the first hours of the day to share communion as the sun rises over the water and we proclaim, “Christ Is Risen!” Coffee and light refreshments served in the nearby community room.

Directions: From First Congregational Church, leave Bridgton west on Route 302 heading towards Fryeburg, Maine. After you go over the Moose Pond causeway, take a right at the top of the hill onto Knights Hill Road. Take your first right onto South Bay Road.

At the bottom of a steep hill bear left on Moose Pond Drive. After a short distance, turn right into a parking lot. You’ll be looking at a snowy beach and a large gray common club house. We’ll see you there. There are restrooms and a place to get or stay warm.

On April 21 at 10 a.m., people will be gathering to celebrate resurrection and declare that love wins. Service of Holy Communion and celebration for all ages. Worship is followed by an Easter egg hunt.
