CONWAY — It’s a boy! Memorial Hospital’s first baby of the new year has arrived.

Kayden Rodger was born at 9:23 p.m. on Jan. 1, 2020. Kayden’s parents are Kali Rodger and Brenden Wakefield of Fryeburg, Maine.

As the first baby born at the hospital in 2020, Kayden and his family were honored with an array of gifts and gift certificates from Mount Washington Valley area businesses.

Kayden weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces at birth and is 21 inches long. He joins siblings Kyleigh, Brooklyn and Brody.

Thanks to the generosity of the local business community, the family received gifts from Big Dave’s Bagels and Deli, Elvio’s Pizzeria, Hannaford Supermarket, Ruthie’s Flower Shop, the Skinny Towel and Washcloth Co., Vito Marcello’s Italian Bistro, White Mountain Hotel, Sutton Luxury Limousine, Memorial Hospital Volunteers and a handcrafted baby quilt by Jackie LeBlanc of Tomorrow’s Treasures.
