CONWAY — “Mt. Washington Valley Through the Ears,” the recently published “best-of” book compiled by Sarah W. Eastman of Kearsarge and Karen Cummings of Fryeburg, Maine, featuring Mountain Ear newspaper stories from 1976-2005 —received some exciting recognition.

First, the International Ski History Association announced that the book, published by Bondcliff Books, has won the association’s Skade Award. The annual award is given to “an outstanding work on regional ski history or for an outstanding work published in book form that is focused in part on ski history.”
