Back in the early 1970s, my dad bought into the burgeoning mainstream camping hobby. At that time RVs were referred to as trailers or campers or motor homes, depending on the configuration and region.

Enjoying the great outdoors became easier than ever, towing or driving the equivalent of your house. I was pretty young, but my memories are still sharp, and that’s really what it was all about.
