BRIDGTON, Maine — Nectar of Maine is a hemp- and plant-based retail and superfood smoothie shop owned by Michelle Wheeler and Drew Robbins.

Focused on wellness, the shop uses local, organic, GMO-free products whenever possible.

The smoothies are unique, healthy, vegan and low glycemic, and locally extracted CBD oil from the hemp plant can be added to smoothies, coffees or teas served in the shop.

CBD oil contains less than .03 percent THC, principal psychoactive constituent of cannabis, and so has no psychoactive effects. It naturally helps to reduce pain, inflammation, stress and anxiety.

Nectar of Maine also sells their own  “Cannabased Wellness” line of CBD products in The Back Room at Nectar.

Cannabased Wellness was created by growers and patients who believe in achieving wellness through nutrition, movement and plant-based medicine. Its full-spectrum CBD tinctures, salves, massage oils and bath cakes use organic, locally-sourced ingredients.

They provide accessible lab results to show clients they are getting the highest quality CBD products available.

Cannabased Wellness is located inside The Back Room at Nectar of Maine. Nectar of Maine is located at 59 Main St. in Bridgton, Maine.

Open daily, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sundays). Call (207) 803-8572 or go to for more information.
