BERLIN – Special Olympics New Hampshire welcomed Laura Lemieux of Berlin, along with athlete Mark Lagueux of Laconia, three coaches and a Final Leg Torch Runner, Officer Mike Murray of Merrimack, back from the Special Olympics 2013 World Winter Games in South Korea at the beginning of February.

Laura Lemieux competed in Cross Country Skiing and brought home a Gold Medal in the 2.5 kilometer race, a Silver Medal in the 5 kilometer race, and her team placed fifth in the 4 by 1 kilometer relay. To train for this event Laura was coached by Sue Tuttle of Intervale and sponsored by Great Glen Trails in Gorham.
