Obituary: Eva M. Trump

Eva M. Trump, 94, of Medina, N.Y., passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at her home, under the care of her loving family and caretakers.

Born April 20, 1925, in Medina, N.Y., Mrs. Trump was a daughter of the late Hattie J. (Chambers) Oliver and Leon E. Oliver.

She was raised in Manchester and Auburn, N.H., where she attended school, and she returned to Medina in 1941.

She married the late Marvin B. Trump Sr. on Feb. 25, 1946, in Summerville, W.Va. Following Mr. Trump’s retirement from the Army in 1971, the couple returned to Medina.

Mrs. Trump was known for her quick wit and could be rather blunt at times, but her feisty yet tenderhearted nature was amusing and appreciated by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her 18 grandchildren, Richard, Tina, Marshal, Anna, Eva, Evette, Timothy, Brooks, Justin, Ashley, Abigail, Paul, Marvin, Michele, London, Rachel, Jimmy and Matthew; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her brother Leon “Skip” (Margaret) Oliver; her sister Gertrude (late Harley) Anderson; her brother-in-law, Huber (Doris) Fulks; several nieces and nephews; and special friend Penny Wilcox.

She was predeceased by her husband. Marvin B. Trump Sr., on Feb. 7, 1992; her three children, Marlene Samsel, Marvin Trump Jr. and Kathleen ‘Kitty’ Price; siblings Frederic Oliver, Jane (Alexander) Nestervice, Madelaine (George) Eckerd and Lewis Oliver; and best friend, Nancy Trump.

Calling hours were held on Friday, July 19, at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina, N.Y. where her funeral service immediately followed at noon. The Rev/ Daniel Thurber officiated. Burial took place in Boxwood Cemetery.
