Armand M. “Tibi” Leveille, 86, of Berlin, N.H., passed away on Saturday Jan. 4, 2020, at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital.
He was born in St. Francis Xavier, Quebec, Canada, on April 11, 1933, the son of Anesphore and Imelda (Fournier) Leveille and moved to Berlin in 1956, where he has since resided.
Tibi spent most of his life working in the woods and in the last 10 years of employment, he worked for James River Corp. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Fourth Degree, and loved his French-Canadian music.
He enjoyed playing the violin and the harmonica, loved horseshoes, cribbage, gardening and making his homemade chokecherry wine. He enjoyed his family and friends.
Family includes his children Line Host of Gorham, N.H., Joane Belleau of Berlin, Gisele Leveille of Gorham and Richard Leveille of Gorham; his grandchildren Leah Belleau, Melanie Ohlin, Beth Host, Emily Host, Brian Croteau and Kevin Croteau; great-grandchildren Alaina, Avery, Julie, Coen, Ethan, Nolan, and a new great-grandchild expected; sisters Lilian Leveille of Montreal, Quebec; Laurence Leveille and husband Lucien Chapagne of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Huguette Cote and husband Robert of Greenlay, Quebec; brothers and sisters-in-law including Carmen Leveille of Berlin; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife Paulette (Fredette) Leveille on Jan. 10, 2018, and siblings Roland, Raymond, Lucien, Roger, Dorina and Laurette.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday Jan. 9, 2020, at 11 a.m., at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery at a later date.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.
