BERLIN — The Coos County Democratic Committee "January Thaw" event will be held on Thursday, Jan. 23, at 5:30 p.m.-9 p.m. at the White Mountain Chalet on East Milan Road in Berlin.

All are invited to participate in an evening with friends and family. Tickets are $5 per person and children under 10 are free. The event will include appetizers, food and a cash bar. There will be family-oriented games, music and a candidate trivia challenge with prizes.

Each Democratic Party primary presidential candidate will have representatives and info about their platform and will be able to answer your questions. Other candidates for local and state offices will also be present to field questions, including Andru Volinsky who has announced a run for governor.

“This is a chance for us to gather in a casual setting one more time before the primary election, said CCDC Secretary Cathleen Fountain. “A time to learn more, if we haven’t learned enough, about our presidential candidates, and to meet and talk with our local and state candidates who are running for office. It is a one-on-one opportunity to voice your concerns.”
