AVH Auxiliary donates $25,000 to the hospital

BERLIN — The Androscoggin Valley Hospital Auxiliary held its 62nd annual meeting this month with a luncheon at the Town & Country Inn and Resort.

AVH Auxiliary President Linda Morris welcomed over 35 members and presented hospital President Michael Peterson with a check in the amount of $25,000 to be used toward the two newly purchased GE Healthcare MAC 5500ECG Diagnosis Systems.

Peterson thanked the auxiliary for their donation and their many contributions made to the hospital over the years.

Morris noted that the $25,000 was a direct result of funds raised from the annual AVH Auxiliary Golf Tournament.

Other fund-raisers throughout the year include book and gift fairs, a Christmas fair and the Christmas Memory Tree. Morris acknowledged the many hours of service and hard work of all of its members.

The auxiliary officers for 2019/2020 is Linda Morris, president; Aline Boucher, vice president; Jean Croteau, secretary; Nancy Hachez, treasurer; Rolanda Duchesne, past president; and Directors Bev Dupont, Pam Carrier, Yvette Hachez, Carmen Leveille, Guy Lopez, Joanne Murphy, Ann Nolin, James Patry, Nancy Pickford and Jane Provencher.
