BERLIN — Badger Realty recently welcomed a new agent, Joe Bowman, to its Berlin office.

“We’re delighted to have Joe Bowman join our staff,” said Brenda Leavitt, managing partner. “It’s gratifying that Joe, who first became acquainted with Badger Realty when purchasing a home, has chosen to join us.”

Bowman moved to Berlin from western Massachusetts, where he attended the University of Massachusetts.

He then opened two restaurants in Amherst, Pioneer Valley Pizza, which he ran for 13 years, and Fratelli’s Ristorante Italiano, which he operated for nearly three years. After years of 100-hour work weeks, he was ready for a change, and made the switch to food service sales.

When COVID-19 struck, severely impacting the restaurant business, he and his girlfriend, Diane Pellerin, decided to move Berlin, where she was born and raised. Pellerin is a teacher in Bartlett.

Bowman will focus his efforts initially on residential real estate in the Berlin-Gorham area.

“We worked with Don Lapointe when we bought our home  and had a great experience. After meeting with Brenda, I realized Badger Realty is a different kind of agency,” said Bowman. “It’s like a family and everyone tries to help you succeed. I’ve always been interested in real estate and with my experience in sales, it seems like a natural fit. And I can promise my clients the same kind of dedication, hard work and customer service I’ve brought to everything I’ve taken on professionally.”

Badger Realty, which has offices in North Conway, Jackson and Berlin, is the leader in real estate sales, rentals and leasing in northern New Hampshire and the greater Mount Washington Valley.
