I’m going to build a time machine, travel back to the late sixties, and start a cult based on Greg Jamie’s new record Crazy Time. Admittedly, cults are on the brain right now since I’ve been listening to two podcasts about Jim Jones and watching "The Path" on Hulu, but this record definitely earns the association. It’s the kind of dark psychedelic folk bananas that does the requisite frolicking through a field of wildflowers in a white kaftan, but ends up sleeping the ayahuasca off in a dimly-lit wood-paneled basement. Sweaty, dream-fevered, and so very introspective.
