Eagles honored at Spring Sports Awards

CONWAY — Kennett High put a semi-wrap on its spring sports season Tuesday with its annual awards night. The major student awards of season included a host of well-deserving recipients.The Jack Burns Memorial Baseball Award was presented to Josh Drew while the 10th Player Baseball Award went to his cousin, Kenny Drew.
In Softball, Faye Roberts and Sam Janos received the Softball Award.
In Track, Mike Albert, Gracie Ryan and Seth Davison received the Don Trimble Award. The Track and Field Award went to Darien Vaughan, Peter Haine and Brittany Colcord.
In Tennis, the Boys Tennis Award went to Oren Bentley and Thomas Gregston.
Casey Blakely received the Girls Tennis Award.
In Lacrosse, Jesse Wheeler received the KHS Lacrosse Award.
Seniors Casey Blakley, Alex Milford, Dustin Stewart and Faye Roberts were recognized for being three sport athletes during their four years at Kennett, it's an award the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association created four three years ago.
The awarding of certificates and varsity letters also took place at the awards.
"We'd like to thank all parents with students who participated this year in our programs and we appreciate all of their support," Kerry Brady, athletic director, said. "... I think we had a great year. It all gets going once again in just a few weeks (early August)."
