Weneedapool Relay nets $6,800

BARTLETT — The White Mountain Aquatic Foundation would like to thank the participants, volunteers and those who donated to the "WENEEDAPOOL Relays" recently.

There were 28 relays comprising of 112 individuals who participated in this 1st annual event ranging in age from 4 to the 60s. The total amount swum at the White Mountain Aquatic Center by relay members was 44.57 miles.

Special distinction goes out to Emma Dziedzic, who is 5 years old and raised more than $255. Nellie Killourie raised the most money as an individual, while the top team fund-raisers were HEB Engineering. Total amount raised was $6,900.

These donations will go to support the White Mountain Aquatic Center's programs which include the Saco Valley Swim Team, Learn-to-Swim Classes, Water Aerobics, Water Zumba, Tuesdays with Maury, Master's Swim, and Fitness swim.

The White Mountain Aquatic Foundation is a 501-C3 non-profit founded to bring a state-of-the-art modern swimming facility to the Mount Washington Valley. It operates the White Mountain Aquatic Center, bringing year round swimming programs to the Valley for people of all ages and abilities.

Over the past 11 months more than 100 children have successfully taken part in learn-to-swim classes. The Saco Valle y Swim Team has more than 60 members and an additional 60 adults have been involved in aquatic activities.

Memberships are available. Swim lessons generally fill up, so sign up for the summer lessons now. Come out and join the fun!
