Conway Rec. is accepting summer program registrations

CONWAY — The Conway Recreation Department will be offering an eight week summer program geared for boys and girls ages 6-14, beginning on Tuesday, June 19 and concluding on August 10.

The program will run Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This all day program will offer arts and crafts, games, sports, special activities and weekly trips to enhance your child’s summer recreation experience.

Children will be separated into two groups by age with 6-9 years olds in one group and children 10-14 year in the other group.

The program will be onsite at the Recreation Department in Center Conway on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On Tuesdays the rec. department offers a 6-9 year-old trip and on Thursday a 10-14 year-old trip. On occasion some trip days will fall on a different day. Please pay close attention to the schedule.

The cost of the program is $140 for the full summer, $100 for four weeks or $50 for one week. There will be a discount of $15 ($125) on the full summer charge for those paid before June 3. There are scholarships available at the Recreation Department in Center Conway. All scholarship forms must be completed by June 3.

All participants must bring a lunch, towel, drink (water bottle), sunscreen and dry socks with them everyday as we tend to get wet on days that it becomes hot. Campers will receive a hand out for the full summer schedule on the first day of camp which lists daily activities. The department doed reserve the right to vary from the list of activities due to weather or other possible conditions.

If you have further questions, please contact the Conway Recreation Department office in Center Conway at 447-5680 or go online to www.conwayrec.com . Registration forms can be picked up at the Conway Recreation Department office or downloaded off the website.
