Jail corrections officers arrested

By Daymond Steer
OSSIPEE — Three employees at Carroll County Department of Corrections were arrested for allegedly allowing underage party attendees to have alcohol.
Corrections officers William Lewis, 26 of Conway, Taylor Goddard, 21, of New Durham, and Michael Medina, 22, of Ossipee were arrested on Friday and charged with prohibited sales of alcohol, said Ossipee police on Monday. The party was at Medina's home. The men were bailed from the Ossipee Police Department. They are scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 19.
"These arrests follow an investigation, which started when the Ossipee police were dispatched to a complaint on Ridge Road on Sept. 7," states a press release from Ossipee police. "Police arrived to find a party, where underage persons were determined to be intoxicated."
The underage party attendees were given summonses to appear in court and were released to family members.
Corrections Department superintendent Jason Johnson could not be reached for comment.
