Legion to hold flag-burning ceremony

CONWAY — American Legion Post 46 in Conway will hold a ceremonial burning of the flags Thursday evening at dusk at the post headquarters on Tasker Hill Road.Anyone with retired flags to be destroyed can bring them to the legion.
The burning of the flags is being held in conjunction with the legion's first Flag Day Golf Tournament to benefit the Wounded Warriors. The golf tournament is being held at Indian Mound Golf Course in Center Ossipee, followed by a barbecue lunch at American Legion Post 46 and then the burning of the flags at dusk.
