Carroll County Democrats Serve Politics and Lobster Aug. 28
Published Date
CONWAY – Carroll County Democrats will be serving up politics and fun at a traditional New England lobster/clambake Tuesday, Aug. 28, at the Russell Colbath Historic site on the Kancamagus Highway.
Candidates for national, state and county offices, and Democrats from across Carroll County are expected to attend.
The Colbath Barn at the picturesque site provides a large, protected public meeting space so this is a rain-or-shine event beginning at 6 p.m. The Colbath site is on the north side of the Kacamagus heading west from the Concord end, less than a mile beyond the Bear Notch intersection.
Tickets are $20 per person in advance, $25 at the door on the day of the event. To assure the $20 price and secure a pass for free parking, reservations should be made on or before Friday, Aug. 24 by sending your name, postal address, and email address (if you have one), with a check for the number of dinners reserved, to: Carroll County Democrats, PO Box 337, Conway, NH 03818. You may also use ActBlue with a credit card at http://secure.actblue.com/page/ccnhlobsterbake.
For those who for whatever reason do not enjoy lobster and clams, there will be alternative comestibles — and soft drinks (the site does not permit alcoholic beverages). The lobster, clams, etc. are to be provided and professionally prepared by Erik Corbett, owner of Good Tail Lobster Pound.
