Ed Parsons at Jackson Public Library Sept. 5
Published Date
JACKSON — The Friends of the Jackson Public Library host a slide show and stories by local writer and photographer Ed Parsons at the Jackson Public Library on Wednesday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m.
Parsons will present a slide show of the mountains and waters in the White Mountain region. He has been hiking in the area for 50 years since he came home to the Whites while working for the Appalachian Mountain Club in the 1960s and 70s. He has also written a hiking column for local newspapers for more than 20 years. Writing about and photographing the area has offered one way for him to remain in the moment in the mountains, making them always new. He enjoys finding new rivers to paddle, and new streams to bushwhack up.
The presentation is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Jackson Public Library at 383-9731
