Joan (Swift) Cahill

9-20-12-joan-swift-cahillJoan (Swift) CahillJoan (Swift) Cahill, of Jackson and formerly of Wellesley, Mass. and originally Sharon, Mass., died Sept. 18, 2012 after a short illness. Joan was a proud graduate of Syracuse University and served as a naval officer before becoming a wife and a mother.

She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Charles and Jennifer Cahill, of Wellesley, Karen and Dave Sciarrino, of Forest, Va., and Douglas and Anne Cahill, of Holliston, Mass.; eight adoring grandchildren; her sister, Connie Cooper, of Belfast, Maine, and many nieces and nephews.

Joan was predeceased by her husband of 46 years Charles A. Cahill.

Funeral Service will be held at the Wellesley Congregational Church (Village Church) at 2 Central Street in Wellesley Square in Wellesley, Saturday, Sept. 22, at 11 a.m. Visiting hours at the George F. Doherty and Sons Funeral Home at 477 Washington Street (Route 16) in Wellesley Friday, Sept. 21, from 4 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited. An interment will be held in Jackson Town Cemetery in Jackson on Sunday, Sept. 23, at 3 p.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
