Barbara J. (Fields) Marchand, 84, of Effingham, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, June 5, 2012.
She was born May 20, 1928 in Springfield, MA the daughter of the late Richard and Catherine Shea Fields. Barbara had lived in Agawam, Mass. and had worked as a proof reader for Deluxe Check Printing Company for many years. She had moved to Effingham, 9 years ago.
Barbara was a volunteer at the Effingham Public Library, the Effingham Elementary School and helped with Confraternity of Christian Doctrine classes at St Joseph CatholiC Church In Center Ossipee, where she was a communicant.
Barbara is survived by a son, Francis Marchand and his wife, Mary, of Effingham; daughter, Donna-Marie Hardt and her husband, David, of Spruce Head, Maine; her grandchildren, Alexander Hardt and Victoria Marchand; her brother, Richard Fields Jr.; a nephew, Richard Fields III, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Calling hours will be Saturday, June 9, at Lord Funeral Home at 50 Moultonville Road in Center Ossipee from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following calling hours at 1p.m. at St Joseph Catholic Church on Moultonville Road in Center Ossipee.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Lakes Region Humane Society, Ossipee, NH, 03864.
