'Halpern and Johnson' auditions Aug. 12, 14

CONWAY — M&D Productions will hold open auditions for their upcoming production of Lionel Goldstein's "Halpern and Johnson" Sunday, Aug. 12, at 2 p.m. and again on Tuesday, Aug. 14, at 6 p.m. at Your Theatre located at 1857 White Mountain Highway in North Conway.
Auditions will consist of selected cuttings for the script. Performance dates are Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 4 to 20 with a sneak peek performance on Oct. 2. Rehearsal schedule will depend on the the schedule of the two actors cast in the show. Parts are available for two men who look 50 plus: Joseph Halpern, the grumpy widower, and Dennis Johnson, the sophistocated stranger.
"Halpern and Johnson" is a charming and touching two hander, about loyalty and betrayal, secrets and identity. A truthful, poignant drama that blends love and loss, anger and regret, with sharp humor. This will be the New Hampshire preview of the show which has only been performed two other times in the United States. For more information contact artistic director Ken Martin at 662-7591.
