Heading into their 11th year, these camps have won praise from kids, parents and the community for learning, creativity, and just plain fun.Snapdragon Shakesperience will be led by Richard and Marion Posner, who run Snapdragon Theatre Guild during the school year. This year the young thespians will be presenting Shakespeare's "The Tempest." Candace Clift will be returning to lead Shakesperience and Advanced Shakesperience and will also be directing the August production, "The Two Gentlemen of Verona."
"I am delighted to be back for Sandwich Summer Shakespeare," Clift. "This community is just tons of fun for theatre lovers".
The two-week camps culminate in a rousing final performance for family and friends.
"Shakespeare's vibrant plays are challenging and fun," executive director Rebecca Boyden, said.
Snapdragon Shakesperience and Shakesperience take place mornings, from 9 a.m. to noon and run Monday through Friday July 16 to 27. Advanced Shakesperience will be held on two afternoons scheduled around these older participants' summer conflicts.
