North Conway Library to present 'Photography On the Edge: The Extreme Angles of Philbrick Photography'

(COURTESY PHOTO) CONWAY — The North Conway Public Library will feature local photographer Jay Philbrick in its fourth and final event of the 2017 Thursday Night Program Series on Thursday night, May 25, at 7 p.m. at the Weather Discovery Center on Main Street in North Conway Village.

Philbrick, a local photographer with a worldwide following, will offer a behind-the-scenes look at some of the world's most epic portrait and wedding photography.

In his slide show presentation, Philbrick will describe the creative process behind the making of his images that have become famous worldwide. He will share the back story of how a local photographer became a viral sensation on the Internet and discuss the making of some of the most amazing environmental portraits you'll ever see.

Another focus of the program will be some spectacular nature photography from a recent trip to Iceland.

Philbrick along with his wife, Vicki, are a team of portrait and wedding photographers in North Conway. In their photography studio and on location, they create stunningly beautiful and unique imagery of weddings, seniors and families. They love getting to know the people they work with and are constantly striving to capture them and the most important moments in their lives in a polished and distinctive style.

Enjoy picture and back stories of the world's most epic and creative wedding and portrait photography!This program will be held on May 25, at the Weather Discovery Center; no reservations are necessary. There will be time after the presentation for questions and discussion.

The program is free, although donations to North Conway Library are greatly appreciated. Homemade cookies will be served and coffee is provided by Frontside Grind of North Conway.
